All made with the amazing AI tools you’re well aware of now, all running on my home server (a mac mini), accessible through tailscale (works well, I recommend this setup), with a custom domain for each through cloudflare (I told AI about its API and it then just did magic for me).
Heatpumps and running! Pretty much my favourite subjects (as well as good product design). I'd love to know more about the heatpump programmer. The MyVaillant app I have is super basic and in no way helps me optimise the system or understand its performance.
Well my heart pump was doing a very poor job of managing its on/off state so my app introduces some hysteresis to prevent turning off too quickly, and a couple of threshold values to prevent turning on even though demand is low
We used to have a WhatsApp group with my wife where we stored all the addresses and phone numbers of our kids’ classmates’ parents. That way, if my daughter said, “I’m staying at X’s house,” we immediately knew who she was with, where she was, and how to reach the parents. Now I’m actually building something inspired by that idea in Lovable after reading your post.
Nice! You inspired me, so I built my first app now as well. It's for my partner and me to save recipes we come across, whether online or in cookbooks. I can add, edit and label them, and then drag them into a 'keeper pile' if it's something we'd actually make again. It was very fun to do! Would love to hear other apps you created at home :)
Clean setup. I'm working on my own AI powered OS and the hosting layer is coming up next, so this resonates. What's the biggest thing you'd do differently if you started over today?
Well that’s the thing - nothing! I have nearly zero reason to not just do whatever I want. If I want to chance the whole setup, it’s a matter of telling AI!
Sports/health/finance are my first topics to work with. It’s fun :)
