This hits home. The reason most people don't start isn't lack of ideas, it's the "someday" trap. Not until I graduate, work two years, buy a house. The goalposts keep moving.

The people around you won't push you toward the thing that might actually change your life. They'll encourage you to be reasonable, to follow the safe path. But there is no such thing as the safe path.

And when you finally get the courage to stand on the edge and do the thing you've always dreamt of, it's terrifying. But when you jump, it gets better. A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because its trust is not on the branch but on its own wings. So trust yourself and take the leap. Do it scared.

This is really a crazy coincedence, just this morning I was brainstorming about a potential business opportunity and I literally wrote down that I'm sensing some (as we say) 'cold water fear' in myself to actually pursue this. While I have been thinking and basically working ont his for months now....

Thank you for this post.

Best things in life are on the other side of fear 😎

In a very weird way. Exactly what I needed to read today.

But, how does one know that the thing he is envisioning to do isn't really a pipe-dream in itself (unrealistic. etc.)?

well, get started. The assumption is that you're rational the whole way through and learn over time what makes sense and what doesn't. Your dream might be unrealistic, but the next best thing not.
